        LWG-Certified Leather & Suede

        Truly luxurious materials are gentle on the environment, which is why Koios are made with leathers, suedes, and nubucks from LWG-certified tanneries in Italy. These tanneries are rigorously audited to ensure they responsibly manage waste, water and energy use, and carbon emissions.

        Recycled Nylon

        Our nylon is woven in Italy from 100% pre-consumer recycled fibers. We opted for recycled nylon because it’s just as high-quality as the brand-new stuff, but it allows us to help divert textile waste away from landfills.

        Recycled EVA & TPU

        The Retro Runner is set on our signature Koio ReCycled™ sole—the outsole is 68% recycled TPU and the midsole is 30% recycled EVA. The recycled components were gathered from neighboring factories in Italy and reinserted into our production process. Why? Because they would’ve otherwise ended up in a landfill, and high-quality materials don’t belong in landfills!
